January 13, 2024 - Washington, DC, United States: Approximately 1000 buses organized by various Fatih and political groups with thousands of protesters converged in Washington, DC to protest the ongoing war on Gaza and to demand a stop to the killing of the Palestinians in Gaza by the Israeli land, air and sea forces.

Protesters waived the Palestinian, the South African and the Yemeni flags in support of the Palestinians and the South African efforts in forcing a ceasefire by bringing a Genocide Case in front of the International Court of Justice who heard arguments on January 11 and 12, 2023.

To date, about 24,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli retaliation and onslaught on Gaza with women and minors and children making up an estimated two-thirds of those killed. Entire neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, NGO offices, medial offices and residential buildings, among others, have been target of bombing and destruction.

It has been 100 days since the new round of hostilities began when on October 7, 2023 the military wing of Hamas attacked and killed Jewish settlers living across the Gaza borders. (Nima Taradji/Polaris)
