The Eid-ul-Azha two days left, the accident was spoiled the joyous occasion for families of the victims. “I saw my brother’s body lying there. He was believed to go to our village in Mymensingh to celebrate Eid. Now, I have to take his death body home,” Said Atikul Islam.

In the chaotic city of Dhaka, home to millions, the absence of building regulations and fire prevention measures leads to highly dangerous situations. Fires are a regular occurrence, and are difficult to bring under control because of the lack of the right apparatus and training. As a result, homes, belongings and lives are lost.

A boiler was exploded in Tampaco foil Ltd factory at Tongi industrial area of Gazipur, near Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh. At least 33 dead bodies were recovered and 74 injured were rescued from the debris of the ruined five-story building in 2016. A large number of workers were in the plant at the time, as the night shift was handing over to the early morning shift. The blast happened like 6 am this factory some time before morning shifting. The plant runs three, eight-hour shifts each day. Fire officials working at the scene said that the explosion was huge and that the fire triggered by the blast spread quickly because flammable chemicals were stored at the factory.

At least 50 people were reported dead in the deadly blaze that broke out in a building on a shabby alleyway in Chawkbazar, Old Dhaka 2019. Within minutes, the toll climbed to 67. Almost 5 hours later the firefighters brought the blaze under control. This fire make big because of the chemical business in Old Dhaka has been a family business run middle in the residential area. This place has more than 25,000 chemical warehouses in Old Dhaka, of which around 15,000 are in residential buildings. Fire service officials said only around two percent storehouses have permission from the city corporation. Most of the warehouses store chemicals and dyes, largely used in readymade garment (RMG) and textile factories.

Just after a month the Chawkbazar fire, again the deadly blaze hit Bangladesh’s congested capital city of Dhaka tore through the 22-story FR Tower 2019 in Banani. Leaving some of the hundreds trapped inside screaming for help as horrified onlookers gathered outside. Firefighters backed by military specialists some in helicopters tackled the flames, lowering ropes to help people escape, while rescuers on long ladders smashed through windows. But firefighters were hampered by not having ladder cranes tall enough to reach the top floors. More than 70 people were treated in hospitals just after the blaze. Also after this fire in the building killed at least 26 people in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

Corrupt officials who ignore building codes, and businessmen who avoid fire safety have both home and workspaces bring death. As the city has grown too quickly, lack of fire safety precaution is everywhere. But the impact is most visible in the Bangladesh every sector. Factory fires and the Rana Plaza garments building collapse have killed more than 1700 garment workers 2005 and 2013. But global headlines came with the horrific fire at Tazreen Fashion factory in November 2012. At least 117 people were confirmed dead in the fire making it the deadliest factory fire in the nation's history.
