La Vida de la Frontera
This body of images was made while traveling from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean while staying true to one element, travel as close to the United States of America and the United States of Mexico's international border as possibel. From September of 2006 to December of 2006 I made my way from one end of the border to the other in a very unorthodox fashion. I crossed back and forth over the border, going in circles, backtracking nd turning around. This border is not one thing, it is a mash of history, cultures, tensions, livelihood, beauty and danger. It refuses to be simplified to two sides and a dividing line, therefore we must respect its peoples and its land by not treating it as such.
