In the city of Salzburg, Austria, birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, people demonstrated against the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. The rally took place on Saturday, 5 March, 2022.

Salzburg's Ukrainian community had called for the demonstration against the war. Already on February 24, there were first protests in front of the Russian Consulate General in Bürglsteinstraße in Salzburg. The Ukrainian community in Salzburg has called for the protest action "Solidarity with Ukraine". Together with several organizations, they organized the demonstration against the war in Ukraine.

Meeting point was in front of St. Mark's Church (Markuskirche) at Ursulinenplatz, the demonstration ended at Kajetanerplatz. The priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Salzburg Vitaliy Mykytyn gives a touching speech at the closing rally which he concludes with the words "Good always wins". Mykytyn was born in Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine).
