Diaspora on the Frontlines
(ongoing)
Filipino nurses have been on the frontlines of many health crises over the years and it is not by accident. This project sheds light on their experiences in the United States, from their historical roots to their current realities. Through documentary images, historical and present-day diptychs, and personal interviews, Diaspora on the Frontlines offers a glimpse into the lives of these migrant healthcare workers.
It is my hope to highlight the diverse perspectives and experiences of Filipino nurses, who have long been a significant part of the American healthcare industry.
