I am a photojournalist, editor and author with 25 years experience in Europe and the US.

Over the past three decades, the main focus of my work has been Russia. I lived there for nearly two years back when it was known as the Soviet Union, and have traveled there two dozen times since.

During the 20 years that our company has owned and published Russian Life magazine, I have written and edited hundreds of articles, while also editing nearly 50 books (and writing a few as well). Sample articles, translations and books are available for review upon request.

I wish to get back in touch with my lifelong passion: photojournalism. Kickstarter willing, this fall I will be taking a month-long, 3700km journey across Russia with the Russian photojournalist Mikhail Mordasov, in a project we are calling The Spine of Russia. I will also entertain other interesting projects, particularly those close to home (Vermont).
