On certain days, public spaces in Berlin take on the form of still-life. This is truer in my neighbourhood of Neükolln where lives easily retreat into the private confines of family homes. The atmosphere becomes somewhat ghostly, leaving, as a facade, remnants of human gestures. At times uncanny, other times colourful. You can only see them if you allow yourself the luxury of an aimless walk.
