According to a CBC investigation in 2018, Canadian police killed 461 people between 2000 and 2017. A quarter of the victims were unarmed and a disproportionate number were indigenous or black. The highest per capita rate of killings, 98 of them, happened in British Columbia. This image is from a demonstration in Vancouver on Sunday, May 31.
