Summary

I embarked on a deeply emotional photographic project to document and explore the shifting landscapes of memory, identity, and belonging.

Returning to the place of one's birth after many years can be a profound and transformative experience, as we confront the changes that have occurred both within ourselves and in the spaces we once inhabited. Our souls and auras evolve over time, much like the process of molting, where creatures periodically shed their hair, feathers, shells, horns, or outer layers. This journey of personal growth and self-discovery is intrinsically linked to the environments we encounter and the connections we forge with the world around us. In revisiting my birthplace after a 16-year absence, I embarked on a deeply emotional photographic project to document and explore the shifting landscapes of memory, identity, and belonging.
