Stuart Tibaweswa is a Kampala-based Ugandan documentary photographer. His work often focuses on marginalised communities, their relationship to wider society and further seeks to contribute towards misrepresented narratives.

Early morning, Adolf Omara, 71, a passionate farmer in Akwangagwel village, Abim district takes a glance at this recently cleared plot. The plot was cleared in preparation for the incoming planting season. Adolf, heading an extended family of 14 members is a major success story of CRS interventions on climate change and hunger in his village. In 2020, Adolf joined the ‘Nuyok’ programme where CRS equipped him with knowledge on how to be resilient to the harsh climate conditions in his village. During this time, he acquired skills in climate-smart agriculture, controlling floods, and sustainable land use practices among others, which he has continued to pass on to his neighbours. Today, Adolf and his family are able to have 3 meals a day, something that is unusual in Karamoja subregion due to food insecurity.
March 30, 2023, Ugandan transgender women help each other to do their facials hours before they leave the house to hang out at a nearby bar in Kampala. They spent the day engaging in their social conversations and constantly speaking about how they can wait to leave Uganda.
