Seun Adeniyi is a Nigerian-born and living freelance documentary photographer and photojournalist with an interest in exploring culture, social issues and change, and daily lifestyle stories. As a graduate in Linguistics and Yoruba, his photographs describe and discuss the history and the economic, social, political, and religious lives of people in some major cultures in Nigeria. His works also focus on societal issues and how it affect our everyday lives and society at large Photography is a passion that has changed his narrative, and this has been his goal so far: telling stories in diversified ways through his lens.
He is certified through various workshops, including Journalism Now (a Thomson Foundation online course), AFP Digital Courses, Canon Miraisha and VII Academy (Stories of the World Through Your Lens), and Storymi Academy (Naija in Light Photojournalism Workshop).
He has worked with various organizations, including, News reporting for Agence France-Presse (AFP), Greenville LNG, and Machinolar Integrated Company Limited.
He is a member of the African Photojournalism Database (APJD) and a storyteller, documenting cultures across Nigeria and Africa. He is also a member of the Kuta Art Foundation. His work has been featured on Getty Images, Pixels, Everyday Everywhere, and Lagosphotofestival. His work has also been exhibited on various platforms locally and internationally.
