These small antique bottles are found frequently in the Woodstock Ny. area as the there existed in the 19th and early 20th centuries several glass making companies. These finds range from ink bottles to medicine and potion bottles often with inscriptions cast on one or both sides. Most bottles have acquired a patina having been buried soil or from exposure to light over decades. With a nod to the painter Giorgio Morandi these transparent and translucent small vessels are choice examples of both blown and cast bottles I find in local flea markets and yard sales inspire in me new opportunities for arrangements within a variety of environmental sets.
