I'm Randy López Abarca (Aka Boti), a self-taught documentary photographer and organic farmer based in Costa Rica, exploring the ideas of beauty, cruelty, death, violence, ugliness and life in human and non-human relationships within ecosystems, landscape and rurality.

Infinita Selva (Endless Jungle) is a multidisciplinary life project devoted to understand the tension of life in the tropics, the intersections between conservation, environmental education and agriculture and how the relationship with nature configure the parenthood, identity and mental health.

I have no formal studies in photography, so photography has always been a way for me to explore my inner world and the subjects I'm passionate about and love immensely, it has been a form of therapy throughout my adult life and I have recently decided that I want to share what I have discovered during these years.

All of my long-term projects and stories are deeply personal and self-funded, built over the years with the experiences I have gathered along the way.

I decided to become a farmer in 2018 and now I'm combining my love and curiosity for agriculture and farmers with documentary photography, focused on the psychological aspects of human beings inhabiting rural areas, specially mental health among farmers.
