'My first baby'
The series 'My first baby' is an ongoing project and was developed through my commercial practice as a still life stylist and photographer.
While working on still life commissions, I discovered fabric to be a great material to work with. Its flexibility enabled me to create new shapes and opened new opportunities for my work.
I started using baby clothes to build 3D outfits and then photographed them. Through changing the shape of fabric and playing with light I added personality into each outfit. Each image brought different emotions and an atmosphere associated with childhood. My aim was to create an illusion that it was a real baby!
