Born in Salisbury in the United Kingdom, Justin is now based in Kennington in London. His work focuses primarily on personal history and heritage. His interests in photography are wide and varied, but his current specializations are architecture, interiors, portraiture and landscapes. He undertakes both commercial and editorial work in all of these disciplines.

In 2013 he won the 2013 Lucie Foundation Emerging Photographers Scholarship and the Still Life Section at the International Color Awards, He won an award at the Moscow International Foto Awards in 2014 in the Editorial section for his portraits "The World In Their Hands”. He has won awards and honorable mentions every year since 2010 from the International Photography Awards and he was also jurors pick (Thomas Dworzak) and finalist in Photostory 2012 and was a finalist in the 2012 RGB awards and the WPGA Pollux Awards in 2010 for his series "An Intimate Anatomy of a Spaceship". He has recently been inviewed and featured in Wired and Lensculture about the start of his substantial project "Atomic War In Details". 

He was also selected for the 2013 Copenhagen Photofestival and was a finalist at the 2013 Organ Vida Photofestival, the Singapore Photo Festival 2014 and Belfast Photo Festival 2015.

He is also a founder and regular contributor to 'Deepsleep' the online magazine devoted to contemporary photography.
