Always pleased to get a show in Der Spiegel - here in this week's print version and also online. The portrait is of Dr Jens-Christian Wagner, Foundation Director of Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora Memorial Concentration Camps. The back story: I was across in Nordhausen for 4 days that week covering the AfD’s bid to win the Mayoral Election in the town. Two days on the Getty Stringer Contract and 2 days as a Contributor. The portrait was a suggestion I made to Getty in Berlin as Dr Wagner had made several strong statements to the press about the dangers of an AfD victory in the town, additional Mittel-Dora Concentration Camp is situated with in Nordhausen.
