Summary
Danish Red is a collection of images from my travels around Denmark over a 25 year span.  
During the past 25 years I have explored the whole country from Ribe to Dragør, from Skagen to Bornholm and many other wonderful places in between.   The light and the energy of the land and its people have a special draw on me and my camera. As I have traveled through the countryside and its cities from season to season I have noticed a theme. Danmark with its four seasons; from the beautiful long summer days where the light seems to go on all night to the cold dark winters where the light is scarce and days are short there is always the color red that comes into my images.    

Danish Red is a collection of these images.  This is my portrait of Danmark. It is not a snapshot taken from the steps of a tourist bus. Instead it is a far more intricate and detailed portrait of the land and its people that has only come about through the time and experiences I have spent on the land and with the locals. I wish to show people from both our countries what I see when I visit Danmark.
