"Mujeres Mirando" (Women Watching) we are an intercultural women collective who link art and community in Amazonian territory. The project was born in 2017 with Manuela Ima´s initiative and the support of AMWAE (Association of Waorani Women of the Ecuadorian Amazon) to carry out the photographic exibition "Onkiyenani Aranipa" in Puyo. This exhibition brought together the gaze of 3 female friends who, on occasions, with camera in hand, we have been embroider experiences in the jungle for more than 10 years from our different places and intertwined experiences, without realizing that we had begun to embroider this net.

Now, we weave ourselves with images that we collect over time, also promoting spaces for collective creation and opening dialogues of intercultural coexistence, we embroider ourselves as a symbolic act to dialogue with the origin, rebuild memory and prolong life.
