This is an approach to the life of the workers who pick daffodils during the winter season in Ireland and United Kingdom. UK is the first world producer of these flowers which are exported to other European countries, nevertheless most of the production is distributed nationwide.

I started to photograph in the farms and campsites three years ago and this is a work in progres. The next step will consist in the production of a series of portraits setting up a small mobile photo studio in the flower fields.

The work of picking flowers has a strong physical component and life conditions in the campsites are also tough. Wages have remained the same since the last ten years. This point has contributed to a decrease in the number of local pickers in favour of a growing number of migrant workers, mainly from East European countries.

This work tries to picture to a larger extent, the life of the people who work in industrial agriculture and travel around Europe doing seasonal works, picking the fruits, vegetables and flowers that are sold afterwards in supermarkets.
