Portraits
I am a New York City based portrait photographer. With my project I document the presence a person emanates when they are halted and observed in their environment. I play with the idea that the subject can be attuned to their natural surroundings and also be a distinctly separate entity. I use the environment surrounding these subjects to further reveal who these people are and define them as individuals. My inspiration comes from the classic formal portrait made by photographers like August Sander. I take a major consideration of my fame and try to pair it with something unexpected.
