Australia is recognized for a degree of sporting prowess disproportionate to the size its population.
In recent times, however, there has been declining participation in organized sports, the ascendancy of television viewing as an expression of sporting interest and the rise of obesity as a public health issue.
Moreover, increased regulations and costs have transformed the way people enjoy access to natural environments and activities in public spaces. Recording such events through photography and other medium has also been dramatically restricted.
Perhaps, fifty years from now, it will remind others of a lost way of living.
