Oblivion

How to deal with oblivion if we are formed by memory?
The disease. of oblivion is presented to us as a tragedy.
Clinging to our memories, forgetfulness moves forward and goes deep into our bodies.
The fragility to which we are exposed when we lose our memory leaves us vulnerable.
What identifies us as individuals are our memories, our history, and we are terrified of losing our essence.
We cling to the idea of not disconnecting from ourselves.

This is the daily life of a 79-year-old woman with dementia caused by epilepsy, also afflicted by Parkinson's disease, in her family home, where she was bedridden for more than 5 years.
The loss of motor skills, loss of language and memory make visible the deterioration over the years until her death.

Olvido
