Joe is a British documentary photographer based in Vilnius, Lithuania, since 2013. His interest in photography lies in its ability to communicate stories and how these can function positively in society. His commercial works often look at social issues including human rights, youth culture, social and environmental justice, while his personal projects explore themes such as power dynamics, identity and memory. He has worked for NGO’s, newspapers and private individuals and has been exhibited and published internationally. Previous stories include Witchcraft Accusation and Persecution in Nepal and India, deinstitutionalisation of mental health services in Belarus and Ukraine, and living off grid in the UK. He graduated from University of Wales College Newport in 2006 with a BA in Documentary Photography, where he studied under Ken Grant, Clive Landen and Pete Davis.
