Dana's stories and photographs have been published with the New York Times, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists & The GroundTruth Project, Colorlines, California Sunday Magazine, Time, CNN, The Atlantic and the Associated Press, among others. She has been a reporting fellow with the International Women's Media Foundation (2016 and 2018) and the International Center for Journalists (2015), as well as received a Puffin Foundation Grant (2014) for "Another Kind of Prison", which documents life after prison for women in the USA.
