Guinea-Bissau is known to be one of the poorest countries in the world. Even so, it is necessary to see it with our own eyes to believe it. Watching these little kids fighting for a hand full of rice was astonishing. There was rice on a plate, on their hands and even on the ground. But, nothing was lost, soon what was scattered on the ground, was picked up and put in the mouth. I watched this impressive scene in a school in the surroundings of Bissau and these scenes were recorded in the camera and also in my heart. Guinea-Bissau is also a country with some natural resources and if these were managed correctly nobody would starve. Through the Portuguese ONG "Mundo a Sorrir", this country has the opportunity of improving living conditions with education and better health practices in their daily life.
