Neus Solà (1984) is a documentary photographer and portraitist born and based in Barcelona. She holds a degree in Humanities, a diploma in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Visual Anthropology. Interested in exploring the human condition, her body of work encompasses long-term photographic projects revolving around topics of identity, gender, and territory from an ethnographical approach. With this view, Neus Solà has documented topics such as the historical memory of the Balkans, the alternative farm life in California, the status of gypsy women in France or the transgender community in India, amongst others. Today, she also holds workshops and participatory photography projects. Her work has been awarded in numerous festivals, including the Prix HSBC pour la Photographie 2019, the Manifesto Festival 2017 or the International Woman Photographers Awards 2017 and has been exhibited in several countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates or Mexico, amongst others.
