Shahrabd is one of the villages of Qazvin province in Iran with about 1000 population. Shahrabd by word means the green village was decades ago a very green and rich village. In recent decades use of water engine for extraction of water. So the amount of water storage got less and lesser that now most of them got empty. At the same time rapid climate changes in Iran and subsequently in Shahrabd, caused reduction of rain fall.
In this situation a lot of farmers had to abandon their farms and do other works like animal husbandry. Jafar one of the farmers in village says: “it’s not that we think water is not available. Water always exist. But the government and corrupted staff doesn’t allow us to receive in justice. Some other farmers have connection and can get water but we are alone. Nobody cares about us.”
