This project started following the earthquake of 7.8 degrees in the Richter Scale that affected a big part of the Ecuadorian coast. This is a collaborative work that gathers instant photographs and handwritten testimonies of the survivors. Now we want to make it into a book. We are motivated to create an inclusive and profound document where the voices of the affected people will be the main narrative resource. Your help will allow these testimonies not to be forgotten. We are convinced that these should be a part of history.
This Thursday 14th I will be launching my first photobook called "Al otro lado" (On the other side). The event will take place at the Contemporary Art Centre of Quito, Ecuador at 19:00. Come if you are in town!
The book was recently shortlisted at Les Rencontres de la Photographie Arles festival as one of the 40 best author books of this year: http://www.rencontres-arles.com/C.aspx?VP3=CMS3&VF=ARLAR1_460_VForm&FRM=Frame%3AARLAR1_457
Dear friends and colleagues! I’m happy to launch this crowd funding campaign to gather the rest of the funds needed to produce my first photo-book: On the other side. Please take a look at the project, it should take less than 5 minutes. I already have 80% of the funds needed thanks to an Ecuadorian arts grant. Help me gather the rest and be a part of this project!
