Enjouanissan
In 2010 while traveling through the southwest Gers region of France, I began documenting UK natives Stuart and Louisa Hallewell at their newly purchased farm, Enjouanisson. I was witness to their transformation from cosmopolitan to agriculturist lifestyle and was incredibly inspired by this dramatic change in their lives. I used a large format camera in order to capture the subtle nuances and intimate moments not normally found in the traditional fine art format. This body of work emphasizes the rawness of sustainable living and the stark simplicity of a present day family practicing the return to a forgotten past.
