Her work has received numerous awards including the 2013 Photophilanthropy award, 2012 Prix Virginia and 2011 Getty Editorial Grant. During a two-year scholarship with FABRICA, a research and communications organization in Italy, she made the work ‘Under Gods, stories from Soho Road’, which was published by Dewi Lewis in 2011 and became an internationally touring solo exhibition. In 2013 Liz moved to China as a Visiting Scholar of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences to continue her research into urban religious communities in Shanghai, a project undertaken in collaboration with Fudan University.  The same year her work ‘End Of Lines’ was published as the book ‘Shanghai’, for the Portraits De Villes series designed by Be-Poles. Liz’s work is regularly exhibited and published internationally in magazines and academic journals.
