Lily Madeleine Colman is a film-based photographer from Philadelphia, now living and working in New York City.

Lily earned her BA in Fine Art Portrait Photography and Curatorial Studies in May, 2013, from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA.

Currently, she works as a Teaching Assistant at the International Center of Photography School and as an assistant to photographers Chris Verene, Jen Davis, Chris Payne and Neal Slavin. She also continues to create her own work.

Lily has shown her work at Hampshire College, the Smith College Museum of Art, and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her subjects are primarily people; she is involved in her ongoing project on people coping with Inflammatory Bowel Disease entitled "Do I Look Sick To You?" She started the project as her undergraduate senior thesis, which culminated in a gallery show and book. She spoke and sold copies of her book at the IBD Family Research Council’s "Walk for Hope" on April 12th, 2015.
