She says - Photographing Ethnic Minority Women of Hong Kong

除了不同的膚色、宗教、習俗和語言之外，人與人之間還有很多相通的東西：渴望實現自己、追求理想自由、希望被理解和欣賞等。

這個項目和香港融樂會合作，聚焦香港生活的少數族裔女性，我希望她們能於自己熟悉的環境，坦然舒服地面對鏡頭。過程中，發覺我原來已不經意間忘掉她們的不同，慢慢將她們看成你我之間的朋友，將她們的親切、自信，對自己命運的掌控，豐富的個性，透過肖像如實呈現。

人與人之間的溝通並不完全倚仗語言，很多時候，眼神就是最好的溝通橋樑。我相信，一幅有感情的肖像照片，可以承載萬千,還原一個有質感有故事的人。但願這些照片能讓觀者「看見」她們，「聆聽」她們想說的。

When we look beyond our differences in race, religion, customs and languages, we have the most defining similarities "“ we are all human, with the same thirst for self actualization, freedom to pursue our dreams and the need of being understood, appreciated and accepted.

In collaboration with Unison, this project focused on ethnic minority women living in Hong Kong. To make the women feel at ease, we made it a point to carry out the shoot at their respective comfort zones so that they can be calm and confident in front of the camera. In the process, I forgot the racial differences between us. They became our friends, sharing with us their kindness, confidence, their rich personality and the immense faith to grasp their destiny. I wish that my photos can do justice to the spirit of these exemplary women.

Humans communicate with more than spoken language; the eyes often communicate better than words. I believe a soulful portrait speaks a thousand words; it can bring to life the nature and the story of a person "“ I hope this series of portraits can let you truly "˜see' these women and "˜listen' to what they tell us.
