About
Esther Horvath is a freelance documentary photographer and based in New York City.
She was born in Hungary, lived in Austria and in 2012 she moved to New York City in order to attend the International Center of Photography, where she graduated in Documentary and Photojournalism.

As a documentary photographer and long time scuba diver she feels a strong connection to the environment and a responsibility to document the effects of climate change on the oceans, along with its effects on endangered marine animals. One of the projects that she is working on presently called "Baby Giants" involves documenting the conservation work regarding the critically endangered sea turtles. In addition, she has recently embarked on documenting how climate change has affected the arctic called "Changing Arctic". She is following closely the work of multiple agencies involved in developing new research projects that will better understand the changing arctic landscape. She is working to raise awareness by educating society and highlighting the importance and urgency of the critical issues involved. Her overarching goal is to tell the best story possible through images, in order to help make a difference in how people understand what actually is occurring.
