"I wish more people felt that photography was an adventure the same as life itself and felt that their individual feelings were worth expressing. To me, that makes photography more exciting."

Harry Callahan (1912-1999)

____________________________________________________________________

I have been an autodidact -  photographer - for more than 35 years now. Fortunately - or unfortunately -   I never had to make my living on photography, which granted me the privilege to "photograph my way out", as Harry C. would say, and at times that I could decide myself.Like Harry Callahan's photographic life, my passion for "making pictures" was driven by the madness for the camera, in the early times, and later by the ambition to capture the journey of my life. Recently I have re-vitalized my passion, but this time I decided to share my work with the public, as much as possible, which is essentially the reason for my social media presence and website.

In addition I plan to write one or the other review (books, exhibitions, websites) and essays - my personal (biased) views on photography - and I hope to earn at least some feedback.

My themes, topics and subjects are mostly taken from my daily life and from one or two journeys per year. I try to capture situations, people, places, that touch me emotionally, at least in some way.

I hope to find many people who feel the same passion about photography and like to exchange their ideas, experiences, and views about photography.

Any kind of feedback is highly appreciated. Therefore please feel free to use the comments and replies, the sharing buttons or contact forms, subscribe to the blog, or just send me an e-mail.

Yours

Michael
