All along the roads, paths and narrow tracks of the Haitian countryside, there are all kinds of houses with gardens which host graves. Those buildings, which preciously contain dead relatives, are considered like sacred monuments but they are also part of the family's daily life. Compared to West, relationships with death are easy and simple. God just decided it! And, so far, no one seems afraid to lay on the grave and have a quick chat with the one beyond...

No matter the economic health of the family, there will be a grave in their garden.
