Topics Brazil

The country of Brazil is experiencing political and economic unrest as the president has been impeached, trade is falling and unemployment is increasing, with protests for and against the government occurring on a near weekly basis.

Yet, when the protests end and the sun goes down, Brazilians can't seem to resist the pull of the music and rhythms that bring them together, Samba.

This project explores the emotions of what both divides and unites Brazilians, a passion for life and justice and community that creates the rationale for the protests, and samba.
