Luna Coppola (Naples, 1980) is a photographer and multi platform storyteller based in Barcelona.

She combines editorial assignments, teaching and personal projects. 

During her period in Bologna, (2001/2005) she worked for different Italian Movie Production, as assistant to various directors of photography and as assistant director.

After finishing her degree in Humanity and History of Cinema, she moved to Rome where she directed her first documentary movie and in 2005 she moved to Barcelona where she decided to focus her work to photojournalism and she started to work for International Press Agency publishing her works in various magazines.

In the last years she co-founded Workshophotolab an italian photographic collective based in Bologna and she started to work with the magazine Witness Journal as photo editor.

From 2010 she has focused her work on the self-portrait and in 2012 her personal work Connected to Self Life and Relife, won the International Photo Award and the first prize at Fowording Thinking Museum and it has been published in the United States and Spain.

In the last two years she has worked as assistant to the artist Cristina Nuñez during workshops and projects in prison and various center. She is facilitator of the method The Self Portrait Experience.

Since 2013 she started with Sara Lusini a workshop project SelfBook, with teenagers (aged 15 to 18). The workshop aimed to transmit the elements of visual storytelling, from about themselves, their own emotions and their own history.

Since 2014 she works together the artist Silvia Campidelli at editorial project DUAE
