"When we process a death it is sometimes too difficult to find the families to tell them about the death because we do not have the time and support to find them"

This project was primarily a research project as I considered the systems that are put in place to handle death within Southern Africa. This research led to the realization of many other issues, which are brought about by these systems' lack of management over the high death rates. Issues include a lack of respect to the dead, cremation of bodies without family permission, long delays in notification to the family, over-crowded graves and child headed households.

The result of these findings in the body of work 'Undone' which denotes to the undoing of systems put in place to handle death properly.
