"To get anywhere, the whispers are my welcome, they cut me like knives."

In the country of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, talking of physical transformations it is sacrilege, so arises the idea of graphic pieces where transgender leaves the closet and knocks at the door of Colombian society. For three stagings with reference to three of the most controversial works by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, "The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa", "The Rape of Proserpina" and "Sleeping Hermaphroditus" set out to portray three people who decided to make the transformation not only of their physical appearance but to give free rein to what for them was their true being.

"The Ecstasy of Catalina": Experiencing a holy orgasm, Catalina reveal what for her is her divinity, showing the essence of her being, punished in public by the church but secretly loved by priests.

"The Rape of Mary": Mary, is an example of those young people who are forced to participate in a war they don't know, she is forced to guard and behave like society want her to be, fulfilling with a duty that hurts.

"Sleeping Angelica": This infamous world pities some and condemning others, called her "whore" just because she decided to break the dogma that trapped in a body that was not hers.

This project was selected for the exposure Photo Patagonia "I International Festival of Analogue Photography and Alternative Processes" at Santa Cruz Cultural Complex in Rio Gallegos, Argentina (2016)
