Michael Carroll is an award-winning documentary photographer and freelance photojournalist.
www.carrollfoto.comBased in Southeast Asia, his work focuses on documenting daily-life and stories concerning social and human rights issues. In addition to his documentary work, Michael takes on assignments for NGO, commercial and editorial clients. He holds a photojournalism degree with first class honours from the University of the Arts London.
His work has been published by magazines and newspapers including The Guardian, The Financial Times Magazine, Leica Japan, The British Journal of Photography, Courrier International and The Big Issue among others. His photographs have been recognized by prestigious international awards including the Magnum Photos / IdeasTap Award, The Guardian & Association of Photographers Student Photographer of the Year Awards, Age International Award and the British Journal of Photography Project Assistance Award in association with Nikon.
