Born and raised in a small Louisiana town, I turned to my imagination for activity. This playful, creative approach to life extended into my adulthood, where a blending of my passion for photography, film, prose, and performance melded together to influence my perspective on imagemaking. Pulling ideas from my short stories and isolating core moments into visuals, my work centers on fictional situations and events, told through the slight hint of a smirking camera.

A majority of work in this portfolio was created during the summer of 2010, when I set out on “Shootapalooza,” my 4,000 mile, 18 day road trip across America and Canada to make constructed imagery.  Every day was a new photographic adventure containing fictional photo creations, portrait sessions, travel blogging, and a couch hunt each night for a moment’s sleep before setting back out on the road for the next day’s journey.

The work from this trip recently debuted in my solo exhibition, “Fictions,” at the Milburn Stone Theatre’s Gallery, in North East, Maryland. My next goal is to present this body of work throughout other exhibitions and publications worldwide. My drive to create is matched only by my passion to share these stories, in hopes they will inspire the imagination of others.
