Roberto Tondopó (b. Chiapas, Mexico, 1978) studied at the Contemporary Photography Seminar from the National Center for the Arts in San Agustín (Mexico) and holds a degree in graphic design. His work has been shown in collective exhibitions at the Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles and at the 2012 Brooklyn Photoville Festival. He was also shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Protrait Prize 2011 in London and was chosen for the 2013 Photoquai Biennial in Paris and in PhotoEspaña festival. 

A winner of the 2011 Tierney Fellowship in New York, he was a finalist for the 2012 Roberto Villagraz Scholarship in Spain. The series on show here has been very favourably received in Mexico and widely published. Amoung other publications, his photographs have featured in The Sunday Times Magazine, GUP, ZoneZero, The Josh, Pic Nic, Tierra Adentro, RARA and Ojo de Pez.
