The Human Topography series, investigates the relationship of contemporary urban people located nude in a natural environment, where they do not belong. It's a long-term work in progress started in 2009.
The photographs were taken in different wilderness settings around the world, and the people portrayed come from different cities. They are not native to the environment where they are photographed. These people are not necessarily nudists, they simply decided to partake in this exercise where they portray themselves naked in a natural environment.
Several questions remain open with this project: is this relationship between nudity and wilderness fluid or artificial? What happens when the contemporary individual emulates the natural state of ancient primitive beings living naked in the wild? Etc.
