South Africa's Identity Crisis
Shot in South Africa over the course of a year, this project captures the identity crisis experienced by South Africans in the post-apartheid era. Many identities were hidden under the shadows of South African citizenship during apartheid and continue to be masked today. My photos aim to depict the loss that comes with nation building and promoting unity among South Africa's diverse and multiethnic society. This series expresses my feelings towards change within south Africa in a visual way.
