This work is heavily focused around the people who make up my family in Montevideo, Uruguay. Life is constantly building us up and tearing us down, transformation is inevitable. These images are an ongoing document of the faces that embody this place for me. As I have watched my work develop through the years I am fascinated by how clearly the cycle of life is present. How the death of a loved one can alter the face and lives of others. How even in the coldest weather there is still a sense of warmth constantly pulsing in and out. In an age where time feels as though it is moving faster and faster every day I strive to preserve the now. The now that is ever changing. Through complete immersion into the lives of my family and with the connection of my heart I am able to dive deep into the lives of these characters. The result is an honest reflection of who I am and who may stand to become. This is my family, this is my home.
