Maurizio Martorana holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication. He previously studied Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology at Università di Firenze and Université Nice Sophia Antipolis.
Having moved to London in 2014, his passion for human science oriented him towards the photojournalism and documentary fields. Since then he has been trying to merge photography and human sciences while also developing his visual storytelling skills.
Maurizio has recently traveled to both Calais and Ventimiglia to witness first-hand the effects of recent waves of immigration, a subject he has very much at heart. At the moment he's currently pursuing a long-term project focusing on sexual abuses based on gender in Mali.
