Visura at GuatePhoto 2015

Thursday, November 19, 2015 | News

It has been an amazing week with friends at GuatePhoto 2015 - Adriana and I had the great pleasure of working with JJ Estrada and Clara de Tezanos to help them launch the first GuatePhoto in 2010. Since, the festival has exploded!

A large part of the 2015 festival is in Antigua, with some of the best spaces I have seen at any festival - unmatched in size and historic presence, and surrounded by a row of active volcanoes!

Look for more to come from our friends at La Fototeca.

Notes on membership

Photographers, connect.

fotovisura's mission is to further your work and career. Photographers are paying too much for websites that are not helping them gain exposure. fotovisura offers photographers a home to showcase their work with a website linked to our networking platform. Additional resources include marketing tools and access to assignments, grants, workshops and exhibition opportunities.

We do not charge additional fees for opportunities that result through our memberships.

A lot of photographers are asking what is the difference. GUILD is an invite only curated platform that stems from Open Calls that I will launch once a year. It is an opportunity for photographers, who want to work with me on their website presentation to do so. I will launch quarterly open calls and select from 50-150 photographers depending on availability. PRIME members can submit to the Editor's GUILD as well as have access to editorial and design support. So, in the end—the main difference is that GUILD members agree: 1) to commit for one year to GUILD, which comes with some requirements, 2) collaborate with me on the building of their website presentation; ) that they are not exclusively represented by an agency.

PRIME membership welcomes all photographers.  You can built your website, forward your custom domain, add an FV icon to connect your website to your FV-profile, submit to the Editor's GUILD for consideration, build a community of followers and promote your work. In addition, we offer grant, workshop, assignment, exhibition and scholarship opportunities.

Ask me questions, I am here. info@fotovisura.com
We built this new initiative for you....we want to redefine this industry so that you can make a better living. Join Us, and be part of the change that needs to happen.
