Questions of race, ethnicity, and cultural identity have existed since the beginning of humankind. But recent events in the United States and around the world -- from a spate of police violence and hate crimes in America to attacks against religious and ethnic groups around the world -- have raised questions about just how far we have come in recent decades.
To help explore these issues, ViewFind is awarding $5000 each to 4 photojournalists to produce stories that dive into the human narratives behind the discussions. One of these grants will be reserved for a student photojournalist.
We welcome applicants from around the world. The deciding factors will be the ability to tell compelling visual stories, a strong proposal for a story on the theme of race and ethnicity, and a demonstrated ability to tell visual stories for a mass audience.
