Alexia Clorinda is an art historian, cultural critic, independent researcher and photographer.
Her work focuses on translationality, travelling cultures and internationalism, questioning history and language from a post colonial perspective.
She articulates her lectures internationally in academic and informal contexts.
Her last academic interventions include the following conferences: the body's reasons at Fokal (Haiti, 2015) and at the Dak'Art Biennal (Senegal, 2016), Cultural Nomadisme at the Riac (Congo 2016/2018), Ritual and counterpower at the Institute of Advanced Studies (Paris 2017).
Her publications include articles in the Music magazine World (Paris, 2007/2008),the book expressing your vision (OCA,London, 2011) and IFAN Bulletin (Dakar, 2017).She trained in dance in different traditions and environements, exploring the relation between dance and identity and the ritual from a performative perspective.
