While the world is struggeling in fear of the Covid-19 pandemic and the death toll in the US rises above 100.000, protesters in Germany gather to demonstrate against measurements taken to prevent a wide spred of Covid-19. Starting in Berlin, in various Germany cities a mixture of anti-vaxxing activists, conspiracy ideologists and members of the far-right start holding demonstrations. Average citizens fearing their rights being unrightfully limited joined. In the capital of Lower Saxony Hannover a movement initialized by an anti-vaxxing group gained support quickly. The most common narrative amongst the participants: Bill Gates is behind Covid-19. They pretend the desease does not exists, purposely violate recommandations on social distancing and gather in large crowds. The measurements taken and safety precautions by every single person have so far prevented a huge death toll in Germany as seen in Italy and the United States. The groups organize via Telegram - conspiracy theories and far-right content are past through those groups. "Normal" citizen get in contact with dangrous ideologists delivering quick answers to complex problems. A glimpse at protest in Hannover.
